Bio

My name is Liz Castro and I am the founder of Aixeta. This is my personal page.

Born in California in 1965, I have been living in Barcelona since 2013, in the middle of the neighborhood of Gràcia. I used to live on a farm in Massachusetts, and I have also spent time in Philadelphia and Connecticut. I also lived in Barcelona at the end of the 80's, in another era, both for me and the city.

I have been a teacher (of Spanish in a highschool and of my homeschooled children), a writer (of computer books, political articles and personal journals), a publisher (of books about Catalonia in English and books about the Macintosh in Spanish), a mother (of three children), a craftsperson (gardening, sewing, weaving, knitting and crocheting, painting gourds and more), a student (of sociolinguistics, literature, languages, mathematics, business administration), a singer (in classical and traditional choral groups, and currently in a folk rock band), and an activist (to win the freedom of this country that I love so much).

Mostly, I write.
